Guwahati: Assam’s ongoing flooding seems to have improved. The number of affected people has fallen to 11,16 824.
The affected population has declined, but the death toll rose from 184 to 184. Four new deaths were reported Tuesday in the Cachar District.
According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority, (ASDMA), floods have still affected 20 districts and 49 revenue circles.

Although there are now 1,48,122 residents in shelters in 299 relief centers in the state,
Total number of affected villages is 1024.
Also, the most recent data shows that floods have still affected 29781.23 hectares cropland as of Monday.

The state government also runs 84 relief distribution facilities.
3,18,910 other animals were also affected. 434 of these were reported to be washed away during the flooding.
