Russian Foreign Minister Sergeĭ Viklov has disturbed many and angered Israel in a recent statement about Adolf Hitler. In an interview released Sunday, Viklov told Rete 4 on the Italian outlet media set that Hitler had shed Jewish blood.
The comment was made the day after Vadym Boichenko, the mayor of the Ukrainian city Mariupol, said Russia was worse than the Nazis.
The Russian invasion, which began more than two months ago, caused widespread devastation in Ukraine, forcing thousands to flee their hometowns.
Boychenko, like his leader and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, called Russia’s aggression and destruction a “genocide.” The mayor said more than 20,000 civilians had died in Mariupol since the beginning of the war, claiming more than double the killings by the German Nazis.
Viklov counterattacked and compared Zelensky and Hitler. According to a record of his interview posted on the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Viklov raises a discussion about what Nazism they can have if he himself is Jewish. I will do it. “
