China counterattacks after Biden "Dangerous and flirting" Warning to Taiwan

Beijing condemned US President Joe Biden’s pledge to protect the island from China’s invasion and said it was ready to protect its national interests for Taiwan.

The Chinese Communist Party has never ruled autonomous Taiwan, but has vowed to consider the island part of its territory and forcefully occupy it as needed.

Biden, who is in Tokyo to meet with local allies, warned earlier Monday that China’s increasingly aggressive stance towards the island was “at risk” from any military action by its giant neighbors. I promised to protect Taiwan.

The comment was rebellious in Beijing, and Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wentan told reporters, “Taiwan is an integral part of China’s territory.”

“The Taiwan issue is purely China’s internal affairs,” he said. “China has no room for compromise or concession on the issue of touching China’s core interests of sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
