Assam Parliament forms an investigative commission to acquire shares in the Batadrava case

APCC President Boupenkmalbora has formed a committee led by Chairman Lanagoswami. Some MLA and parliamentary leaders were instructed to visit Batadraba members immediately to understand the current situation associated with the mob attack at the Batadraba police station.

According to officials, a villain suspect burned the Batadraba police station and other government property after the death of a police detainee.

“The situation quickly became surprisingly widespread and terrible. Many locals’ homes were destroyed by bulldozers,” officials said.

However, officials added that the Commission would scrutinize the situation and interact with many to determine the main reasons behind the case.

Officials further stated that the Commission should submit a report to the APCC President within two days.

Former MLA Anuwar Hussain Laskar has filed a complaint in connection with the death of Batadrava in custody at the State Commission on Human Rights.
