Kokrajhar: Progress in government programs reviewed

KOKRAJHAR: Friday’s visit by the Assam Legislative Assembly’s Committee on Public Accounts (PAC), to various locations where government schemes were being implemented in the district, was followed by a meeting in the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner. The committee reviewed progress and received evaluations from heads of departments.

On Friday, Chairman Wazid Ali Chaudhary and the 6-member Committee on Public Accounts Committee of Assam Legislative Assembly (PAC), visited the area to evaluate the status and progress of different schemes and projects in the district.

Ramendra Narayankalita, Basanta Die, Bhabendra Nath Bharali and Gobindo Basumatary were all part of this team. During the field visit, Jayanta Basumatary, Jayanta Basumatary and Lawrence Islary from local MLAs were also present.

Champamati erosion prevention site at Karigaon was visited by the team. Also, they visited Medical College at Besorgaon and Cancer Care Centre At Besorgaon. It expressed its satisfaction with the success of the schemes. The Committee urged the administration to adhere to the standards while implementing them.

A meeting of the DDMA was held in order to approve plans for Kokrajhar’s restoration work.
