Potholes on the Sessatinari Road: Commuters Face Miserable Times

DIBRUGARH: Commuters face major problems when crossing the 20km road from Sessa Tinali NH-37 to Itakhuli after a large hole in the road. This road is the only road connecting 55 villages of the Moran Parliament in Dibrugarh.

School children and villagers are facing problems when crossing the road. The SessaTinali NH-37 road was built by PWD. The dire situation on the road exposed the poor quality work done by the disabled department.

It used to take 30 minutes to cross a 20km road, but it took more than 2 hours to cross the road after a big hole was opened. Medical patients are the worst victims of passing the road because of their dire condition.

“It’s hard to get through the road at night. Sometimes you can’t see a big hole while driving. Ask the departments to repair the road,” said local resident Lintu Gogoi.

Meanwhile, the villagers accused Moran MLA Chakradar Gogoi of not taking steps to repair the road.

“The local MLA is not worried about our problem. During the election, he comes here for a vote. We want to deal with our problem, but no one is us. I don’t seem to care, “said the villagers.
