UDALGURI – Sandeep Chamaria was an advocate at Gauhati High Court and organized a Udalguri Sashitya Sabha Bhawan programme calling for a permanent solution to Assam’s flood crisis. Akhilkalita was the anchor of the show. He revealed to the audience that Chamaria has filed a PIL no 46/2022 in connection with Assam flood. Chamaria also regaled those present to talk about the flood issue by performing Dr. Bhupen Hzarika’s songs. Nareswar, a retired teacher who has won national awards, Puspadhar Bastila, Principal at Udalguri S School and Nandeswar Daimari (the prolific Bodo writer) have all praised Sandeep Chamaria’s efforts. They appeal to the Union Government for a long-term plan to address the Assam flood problem.
