Watch: Protesters Swim In Lankan President's Pool

Protesters were seen taking to the streets after entering the Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s residence. They had been protesting the unprecedented economic crisis and causing more public anger.

Protesters surrounded the pool waving flags of their country.

The kitchen was already packed, and protesters assembled around a table that had utensils as well as other supplies. A second group of people was cooking.

After intelligence reports warning that things “would spiral out of control”, President Rajapaksa was moved to Army Headquarters last year, according to Bibarud.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has summoned an urgent meeting of party leaders to discuss a resolution to the situation. He also asked the Speaker for the summoning of the Parliament.
