HOWRAGHAT: Tuliram Ronghang, elected as MAC by the No. 6 Bithung-Rengthama Constituency of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), was re-elected as KAAC CEO on Thursday for the third consecutive term.
Tuliram Ronghang was declared by KAAC Chair Raju Tisso as KAAC Chief Executive Officer (CEM).
Tuliram Ronghang would like to express his sincere gratitude to the Chair for holding the CEM elections to this house and to all the MACs elected to the CEM for the third consecutive term. Longan also thanked the people of Calvi Anlong for their support.
He further stated that the realization of Calvi Anron’s basic requirements began in stages only because of the interests expressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Himanta Biswa Salma and other top national leaders. “We are grateful to the dynamic Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Himanta Biswa Salma for ensuring the development of a 24-hour system at Calvi Anron,” said Turiram Ronhan of KAACCEM.
During his speech in the House of Representatives, Longan called on all MACs to work hard for the development of Calvi Anglon and to fully implement the basic issues of the people promised during the election.
Ronghang points out a peace agreement signed between Karbi Anglong and five rebel groups of central and state governments, and as guaranteed by the federal and state governments, a “Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)” and a “Memorandum of Reconciliation”. “(MoS) will be implemented in stages. “All promises will be fulfilled one after another,” said KAACCEM.
