BAKSA: In a shocking incident, a 23-year-old was beaten by a group of people while taking a selfie with a girl in the Basca district. The incident happened on Monday when Joytish Das, a computer teacher at a private university in the Baksa district of Assam, was filming SELPHY with his assistant and a friend from another community. After a while, a group of people arrived at the computer center, snatched his cell phone and took him to another place, where he was beaten with a stick. The young mother helped him. There were signs of injury on the whole body of the young man.
Meanwhile, the youth’s family submitted a FIR to the police station in the Baxa district in search of justice. After the incident, BPF Prime Minister Haglama Mohillary said, “I blame the incident in Salbari. This should not happen just to take a selfie. Police should take action on this issue.” Said.
