JAGIROAD: On Wednesday, the Minister of Water Resources and the local MLA Pijush Hazarika officially opened a new model high school at Gopal Krishna Tea Estate in Jagiroad. While addressing the rally, Hazarika emphasized the need for quality education among the children of the tea community. The minister commented that children in the tea community have been deprived of quality education for years. He said the current government has many plans for the welfare of the state tea community. The new school will have 144 students and 8 teachers and will play an important role in the academic development of the region.
