"Hole In Heart": How Doctors Tried To Revive Shinzo Abe For 5 Hours

Doctors tried to save Shinzo Abe, former Prime Minister of Japan, for nearly five hours, this morning. However, he was left with a large gaping hole at his heart, according to hospital officials.

Shinzo Abe was 67 and making a political speech. He was about to give a speech on polling when he received two bullets in his neck. This happened in Nara (west city), 500km west of Tokyo. While ambulances arrived, some people tried to save him. At 12.20pm, he was transported to Nara Medical University.

He was already in cardiac arrest at the time of his arrival. He was revived. Also, blood transfusions were done. He died unfortunately at 5:03 p.m.” Professor Hidetada fukushima said at the hospital.

The bullets, which were apparently made by a gunman, penetrated the heart of one man while the other caused more severe injuries.
