Sanmukh Jugani, the new Regional Executive Director of Airports Authority of India

A press release states that Jugani, prior to joining AAI North East Region as RED, was General Manager, Engineering – Civil at Corporate Headquarters in New Delhi.

He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Madhav Institute of Technology and Science Gwalior Madhya Pradesh (86 batch). Also, he is a graduate in Civil Engineering from Madhav Institute of Technology and Science, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), (1986 batch). In 1989, he joined AAI and held different positions in various airports, including Mumbai, Vadodara and Dibrugarh.

He was instrumental in the execution of Airport Terminal Building Projects at Raipur and Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh), as well as other Pavement Works at Vadodara Lucknow, Varanasi and Vadodara. This includes Fursatganj’s Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University. AAI Vigilance Directorate, he has been involved in monitoring and planning various projects.

The Northeastern region has always been difficult to execute projects on time and successfully due to the heavy rainfalls that can last for a longer period of time, poor connectivity, topography challenges, and lengthy supply times.

Jugani said that he looks forward to working closely and efficiently with all those involved to complete all ongoing and planned projects at different airports in the Northeastern region. These will enhance passenger facilitation, increase capacity, and add economic development to the region.
