According to reports, Madhuchanda Adhikari, NRL General Manager, Corporate Communication, stated that the firm had already filed an FIR (Footnote Investigation) with the police.
She added that “unscrupulous individuals have created a fake URL www.nrlindia.in for Numaligarh refinery Limited, by copying NRL’s authentic Corporate website www.nrl.co.in in order to defraud money out of unsuspecting applicants for fake jobs advertised under Career section.”
The company asked everyone to remain cautious, and refrain from paying any money for the fake website that offers non-existent job opportunities.
A link called “Career” is featured on the main menu of the home page.
The link will take you to a page with fake 3235 vacancies. Clicking the link will reveal details about the applicants and redirect them to the Payment Application Page for them to make a Rs 1000 online payment for their application.
