Assam: A large number of Assam residents march by candlelight in Dibrugarh to seek justice for Vineet bagaria

DIBRUGARH: Hundreds of people took out a peaceful candlelight march in upper Assam’s Dibrugarh on Sunday seeking justice for Vineet Bagaria, who died by suicide on Thursday.

Vineet Bagaria killed himself by hanging at Shani Mandir Road Dibrugarh on Thursday. 

Vineet recorded a video in which he accuse Baidullah Khan and Sanjay Sharma of harassing him, his family, and their property dispute.

The three people charged with aiding Vinet Bagaria, an animal rights activist from Dibrugarh, were taken into police custody

These three men were identified as Nishant Sharma, Baidullah Khan and Samsullah Kan. 

The Court ordered them into police custody. Sanjay Singh and Izaz Khan are still missing.

An incident no. Dibrugarh police registered case no. 309/22 under 306 IPC.

On Saturday, Himanta Biswa Sarma, chief minister visited Vineet Bazari’s residence and offered his condolences to himanta Biswa Sarma’s family.

 “I’m really ashamed. Mafia came here despite your presence(Police). I’ve never been more ashamed in my life that such an incident could happen when I am serving as the chief minister has hurt me a lot. I apologise to his parents, and the people of the state,” Sarma said.
