The Mangaldai College family, headed by Dr Kamala Kanta Bora, made a similar effort earlier. People in flood-hit areas were also given water via tankers. NCC college girls were among those who helped in this effort. Other local organizations like Crystal Vision, Unnayan Mancha, as well as individuals such Dr Kamaleswar Nath (Dr Rama Kanta Bora), Dr Jayanta Kumar Nath, etc. have provided assistance to the flood-stricken people by either supplying them with goods or arranging free check-up camps for their health.
