Assam flooding: Although the situation is improving, 9.68 lakh are still affected

Guwahati: Assam’s flood situation improved slightly on Wednesday, 9:68,218 reported that they were impacted in 20 districts by the flooding.

The latest Assam State Disaster Management Authority data (ASDMA), reports that two more deaths were reported by the state on Wednesday, bringing the total number of death toll up to 186. The first death was in Sonapur Metro, while the second was in Raha in Nagaon.

9.68,218 people are still affected. In addition to this, the flooding in 20 districts affected 42 revenue circle and 837 villages.

Further, the ASDMA informed that 29 relief distribution centers and 266 relief camps are active in the state.

They house 135,166 people.

The flood affected 2,00,373 animals as of Wednesday.
