HAFLONG : Students’ bodies led by Dima hasao have filed a strong complaint about the negligence of NHAI officers and demanded that NH 27 and NH 54, the section from Manderdisa towards Balachera, are completed as soon as possible.

Their demands include the immediate completion of NH 27 and NH 54, portion of Dima Hasao connecting Lumding –via- Dima Hasao to Silchar, installation of proper signage with radium lights in all diversions, dead ends and curves, proper inquiry of the negligence of NHAI Officials in maintaining the NH roads, immediate completion of NH 27 and NH 54, portion of Dima Hasao connecting Lumding –via-Dima Hasao to Silchar.
We all know that the East West Corridor is in deplorable condition. It was a National Highway dream project by former Prime Minister Lt. Atal Atal Bihari Vpayee. The corridor connects Gujrat with Silchar and spans 3300 km.
Dima Hasao’s incomplete NH road section from Manderdisa, to Jatinga is in a poor state. This leads to many vehicle collisions and even fatalities. A hilly terrain, recent heavy rainfall, and natural disasters have resulted in frequent sinking of major roads. This has put innocent lives at risk. Students demand a quick solution.
