Police Recruitment Scam: Karnataka Chief Minister Must Resign, Says Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi (Congress leader) on Monday accused BJP of “brazen corruption” in Karnataka. To ensure fair investigation into police recruitment scandal, he demanded Basavraj Bommai’s sacking.

Former Congress President also took aim at Prime Minister NarendraModi for his insistence that he would not allow corruption to happen under his supervision – “Nakhaoonga,” he said. He then asked him why no action had been taken against Mr Bommai.

“BJP’s brazen corruption, and ‘Sale of Jobs,” destroyed the hopes of thousands of Karnataka youth. “The CM who was at the time HM must be fired in order to conduct a fair investigation,” said Mr Gandhi via a Twitter message.

“Why hasn’t the PM taken any actions?” He asked, “Is this the BJP government’s ‘Sab Khilaenge, Sabko Khailaenge’ moment?”

Gandhi was speaking about the alleged irregularities involved in recruitment of sub-inspectors for Karnataka police. Another senior IPS officer was also taken into the scheme and remanded with police for ten days.
