JAMUGURIHAT – Bipul Saikia (50), was a resident in Naghariya Chuk Sootea. He died from lightning strikes on Wednesday at 7.30am. According to reports, the lightning strike struck him while he was trying to uproot seedlings in his paddyfield. The body was sent for post mortem by a team made up of Sootea magistrate and police.
