Karan Johar looks all set to host the seventh season of Koffee With Karan. In an interview, Karan revealed that sometimes stars get into trouble for saying something on the show. “Actors can say the same thing anywhere else, but they get no backlash from me when I say it on my program.” They are being attacked because they have said it on ‘Koffee With Karan.’ My show’s reputation is my downfall.
Ranbir Kapoor, who said that he couldn’t pull Salman Aamir and Shah Rukh this season, also claimed that he wasn’t able to do so. The 3 Khans won’t be coming to my show this season. I lack the ability to do so. They can be arranged for parties, but they are not available on my program. Out of the three Khans, I cannot manage just one. Ranbir said to me, “I’m not coming.” He told me he’d say something. I could be in serious trouble, so I won’t come.”
Although the show was a hit with a lot of people, Karan has been in some serious trouble due to nepotism. It was a subject that began on the show, and has never left me or the industry. “I have been bullied and taunted for it, but I’m not bothered.”
Karan sees an enormous difference in his hosting style now that the show is in its seventh season. “In season one, I was an innocent kid asking questions, trying to sound prim and proper. However, as the season progresses, there’s a great deal of ease and unabashedness. Now I don’t worry about how my expressions look or whether they are too loud or too serious.
