Droupadi Murmu, elected by the BJP-led NDA as president, today submitted her nomination in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP’s senior and alliance leaders prior to the July 18 presidential election. ..
Prime Minister Modi proposed her name to the nomination, which was endorsed by Defense Minister Rajnatsin.
The second proponent was the Prime Minister of a BJP-controlled state, the third proponent was the MLA and MPs of Himachal and Haryana, and the fourth proponent was the MLA and MPs of Gujarat.
YSR conference leaders and BijuJantaDal (both non-NDA parties) also attended parliament and supported her nomination.
AIAD MK leaders OPaneerselvam and MThambidurai and JD-U’s Rajiv Ranjan Singh also attended.
