In some areas of Delhi and its surrounding areas, power outages occurred earlier this morning due to heavy rains with strong winds. Bad weather also affected the operation of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) Airport, and some airlines required passengers to check flight status before heading to the airport.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said moderate rainfall thunderstorms will continue in Delhi and Metro Manila (NCR).
Airport authorities have requested passengers to contact the relevant airline for the latest flight information.
“Severe weather will affect the flight operations at Delhi Airport. Passengers will need to contact the relevant airline for the latest flight information,” Delhi Airport tweeted.
SpiceJet tweeted that bad weather in Delhi could affect departures / arrivals at the airport. This is because we requested passengers to check the flight status.
