The incident was revealed when landlord Asib Xec returned home after a two-day vacation on Tuesday and discovered that his bungalow had been robbed.
The thief is said to have fled with gold and silver jewelery worth 20 and 1.5 rupees in cash.
In addition to this, homeowners were shocked to see the thief write “I love you” with a marker on the TV screen, officials said.
In connection with this, a complaint was filed with the Margao police station, after which a burglary and theft case was filed against an unidentified accused.
