First session of a school mentoring program hosted by North Rakinpur University

LAKHIMPUR: The first session of the school mentoring program initiated by North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous) was held on Friday.

The event was held at North Lakinpool Town High School under the chair of Bani Kanta Konwar, Vice-Principal (Academic) of the School Mentoring Committee. The purpose of the event was explained by coordinator Dr. Vinod Chettiar. Mohan Kumardas, Principal of North Rakin Poole Town High School, gave a welcome speech.

Meanwhile, Dr. Bimanchandra Cetia, Principal of North Rakinpur University (Autonomy), gave his lecture by explaining the details of the school mentoring program. “The main purpose of this program is to provide guidance and counseling to schools through the university for the purpose of comprehensive development,” said Dr. Biman Chandra Chetia.

Dr. Ishmirekha Hundique, an assistant professor of education at North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous), and Akul Sarham Baruah, a teacher, also took this opportunity to speak. At the same event, a farewell ceremony for Koushalya Gogoi, a former teacher at North Rakin Poole Town High School, was held. The Secretary of the North Lakhimpur unit of Karmchari Parishad Sishuram Borah attended the event with a number of dignitaries.
