Flood conditions in Assam have deteriorated over the past week, and the state government has opened several relief camps and distribution centers in the affected areas.
Prime Minister Himanta Biswa Salma of Assam used Twitter on the microblogging site to thank Sonu Nigam for his contributions.

A few days ago, actor Arjun Kapoor and director Rohit Shetty also donated Rs 5 to the CM Relief Fund for flood-affected people in the state.
Salma also thanked them for their support and their concerns and generous actions during the crisis.
Assam is experiencing the worst floods that have affected millions of people in 32 districts. Some people lost their lives while others were forced to leave their place.
