Debesh Biwas, the man being identified, raped a 10 year-old girl in January 2020. When the victim was sitting on the porch of her home, she was molested by the convict.
Biswas was also fined Rs. 1 lakh. Biswas is from Ward 12 in Dhubri.
The victim’s mother filed an FIR with the Dhubri Police Station on January 19, 2020.
Biswas was accused of sexually assaulting her child by taking her to his bedroom and then removing her clothing.
Also, the FIR claimed that Biswas made threats to her and gave her mouth a slap when she heard her yelling.
Dhubri police based the FIR registered case 110/2020 in Jan 2020 under section 376-AB/506 IPC and Section 6 POCSO Act. The accused was also included.
