Flood conditions have improved slightly in the central and lower Assam districts, but the conditions in the Barak Valley are so severe that they continue to worry about the state government.
Using Twitter on the microblogging site, Salma said: With the help of locals and public representatives in the town of Sirchar, we instructed the district administration to develop a micro-level plan for each ward. “
He further stated that the state government is solid with the people of Barak Valley.
“Today, a packet containing food, water bottles, and necessities dropped in the air by a helicopter in the flooded Sirchar. We do this for those who are still stuck, apart from regular bailouts. We will continue to drop airdrops. Our government is working closely with the people of the Barak Valley, “he said in another tweet.
He also conducted an aerial survey of the flooded Silchar with Parliamentarian Dr. Rajeep Roy and other government officials.
