News Anchor Taken Into Custody Over Misleading Rahul Gandhi Video

Zee Anchor Protected from Arrest over Rahul Gandhi Fake News

Zee News anchor Rohit Ranjan will not be taken into custody until Friday. This was in response to police investigations regarding a clip that Rahul Gandhi allegedly manipulated.

The TV host was being followed by police officers from Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and he requested protection from any coercive actions and that the cases against him be merged.

In addition, the court issued notice to the center through the office the Attorney General about Mr Ranjan’s plea. Ranjan also asked for security for his family members and the colleagues involved in the programme.

Ranjan played a video where Rahul Gandhi described the attackers of the Kerala party office as children. He also said that he didn’t have any ill will against them.

The channel claimed that he made the comment on the murders of Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal over a post to defend former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharm’s controversial remark about Prophet Muhammad.
