Xatriya culture exponent Durlabh Chandra Dev Goswami no more
LAKHIMPUR : The well-known exponents of Xatriya Culture DurlabhDevGoswami is gone. Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), was where he passed away on Friday evening at approximately 7:45 p.m. He was the xatriya,cum-resident for the Basudev Than Naruwa Xatra. This is the well-known Baishnav Peeth from the North Eastern area, which is located in Dhakuakhana district of Lakhimpur.
Durlabh dev Goswami was ill for some time. He was admitted to Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh (AMCH), on June 30, as a result. On July 13, he received advanced treatment at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh. He then was moved to Guwahati, where he was placed into a private-sector nursing home. His health was rapidly deteriorating and the attending physicians had been monitoring him, keeping him in ICU for several days at the Guwahati private sector nursing facility. He was shifted to GMCH on July 19, and he had continued his treatment at the GMCH until his passing. His service was as the priest for the Basudev Than (Mandir), of the Xatra. His friendly demeanour was a hallmark of his popularity among devotees. He was a dedicated practitioner of Xatria Culture and worked tirelessly for its spread through coaching and training. Basudev Than Naruduwa Xatra Management Development and General Secretary was also his role.
Dhakuakhana SDO Civil (Civil), Arindam Baruah and Dhakuakhana MLA Naba Kumar Doley expressed deep condolences and prayed to the departed soul. They offered sympathy to the family. Two daughters of his wife and one son, as well as a number of other relatives survived him.
