With the collapse of the Bihar Bridge, the reason for IAS officers is stump Nitin Gacker
Federal Minister Nitin Disappointed said Monday that he was surprised by the reaction of IAS officials who believed that part of the road bridge under construction in Sultan Gangji had fallen into a “strong wind.” A part of the road bridge under construction over the Ganges in Sultanganj, Bihar, collapsed during a thunderstorm on April 29. There were no reports of casualties in this case.
“The bridge fell in Bihar on April 29. I asked the secretary why. He (secretary) said it was because of the strong wind (hawa aur dhundh),” Mr. Disappointed said at the event here.
The Minister of Road Transport and Highways said he wondered how IAS officers could believe such an explanation.
“Mere to baat samajh me nahi aa rahi hai ki hawa dhundh se kaise bridge girega? Kuch naa kuch galati hogi (I don’t know how the bridge collapses due to strong winds. There must be some error (causing the bridge to collapse))” Disappointed, known for his frank opinion, added.
The minister also emphasized the need to reduce bridge construction costs without compromising quality.
