Week-long training on processing of fruits and vegetables concludes in Nagaon

Nagaon ends a weeklong training in the processing of vegetables and fruits

NAGAON: The Community Canning and Training Center under the District Agriculture Department organized a week-long training program on processing fruits and vegetables at their office campus. It began July 11th. This week’s programme ended on Friday. More than 22 entrepreneurs were trained from different locations in the District.

Tarun Hazarika (district agriculture officer) was the guest of honor at the closing ceremony. Hazarika spoke out to say that the training program would help the women entrepreneurs from the district be more self-reliant.

He said that it would also preserve the season’s vegetables over time rather than rotting or being destroyed. Hazarika distributed certificates and recognition to participants who took part in the training program. At the close of the function, Mukul Bharati Nath SDAO and Community Canning and Training Centre were represented, as well as BishnujitPaul Chaudhary and other representatives from the centre.
