Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen on Tuesday, and the two leaders met in a debate that was expected to lead to strengthening bilateral relations from the issue of mutual benefit.
Upon arriving in Copenhagen from Germany, Prime Minister Modi was greeted by the Danish Prime Minister at an airport that Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi described as a “special gesture.”
Prime Minister Modi was welcomed for a meeting by Mr Frederiksen, who arrived in Marienburg, the official residence of the Danish Prime Minister.
This is the first time Prime Minister Modi has visited Denmark and will participate in bilateral and multilateral agreements on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
In his departure statement, the Prime Minister said the visit “provides an opportunity to consider the progress of his own” green strategic partnership “with Denmark and other aspects of bilateral relations.” This partnership turned into a result-directed to a five-year action plan during Prime Minister Frederiksen’s visit to India in October 2021. “
