Villagers gather to repair roads in the Dibrugarh district of northern Assam

Dibrugarh: Tired of waiting for government support, villagers in Sarai Bali Gaon in the Dibrugarh district of northern Assam decided to get together to repair a muddy road. The women in the village picked up a shovel to repair a miserable road.

Saraibari Gaon is classified as Kalakhowa Gaonpanchayat in the Moran Legislative Assembly of Dibrugarh. Hundreds of villagers were seen with shovels to repair muddy roads. The condition of the road is miserable.

“The condition of the road is dire. School children are facing difficult times when crossing the road. The road connects six villages, but the condition is still not good. Construction of the road I pleaded with Moran MLA Chakradar Gogoi several times, but nothing. It’s over, “the villagers insisted.

After an hour of showering, villagers are having a hard time crossing the road as the road conditions become dire. The villagers were plagued by the local MLA and picked up a shovel to build the road.

Another villager said, “We asked Moran MLA to build a road because we couldn’t cross the road during the monsoon. He promised to build a road, but nothing has been done to date.” ..
