Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal Faces Employee Anger Over Elon Musk’s Criticism

Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal sought to calm employee anger at a company-wide meeting on Friday.

At the conference, Tesla CEO Musk, who signed a $ 44 billion deal to acquire a social media company, will be responsible for setting Twitter content moderation practices, speeches and safety policies. It is done after repeatedly criticizing the person.

At a town hall meeting Reuters heard, executives said the company would monitor staff turnover daily, but it was too early to see how the deal with Musk would affect staff retention.

Musk touted lenders by significantly reducing board and executive salaries, but accurate cost savings remain unclear, according to sources familiar with the matter. According to one source, Musk will not make a decision to reduce headcount until he takes over ownership of Twitter.

“I’m tired of hearing about shareholder value and fiduciary security. Do you honestly think that many employees are very likely to lose their jobs after a deal is closed?” A Twitter employee asked Agrawal a question he read aloud during the meeting.
