"Trina mall style murder" Before visiting Amit Shah: BJP on the death of a party member
Federal Interior Minister Amit Shah called for a CBI investigation today about the death of a BJP worker who was found hanging in a mysterious situation in Kolkata hours before his visit to Kolkata.
Death has become Bengal’s latest flash point. There, the ruling Trinamool Congress and BJP routinely blame each other for violence and murder.
Arjun Chowrasia, a member of the BJP’s youth club, was found hanging in an abandoned house near his home in northern Kolkata. He was supposed to lead the bike rally late today at one of the events planned for the welcome of Amit Shah. The BJP argued that he had been killed by the ruling Trinamool Congress and strongly denied it.
“Ensure that the people behind the murder of BJP Yuba Morucha leader Arjun Chourasia will be punished. The Ministry of Interior is very concerned about this political violence and seeks reports from the West Bengal government. “There is,” Amit Shah told reporters.
Leaders and workers from both parties have been protesting outside Choracia’s house since the morning, and tensions have increased as Amit Shah visited the Bengal capital for the first time since his defeat in last year’s state elections.
