DIBRUGARH: On Friday, a body was found floating on the Brahmaputra River in Mothala in the Maijan area of ​​Dibrugarh. The deceased were identified as Shiv Shankar Yadav (53), who went missing after the boat was detained on June 19, and three others from Rohmoria. Locals first witnessed a corpse floating in the river. They immediately informed the police.

“Police recovered the body from the river and sent it to AMCH after death,” locals said. After being caught in a river in the Lomoria region of Dibrugarh on Sunday, four people crossing Brahmaputra on a country boat went missing. The incident occurred around 10 am when nine ships, including the captain and his assistant, were heading for Bali Jungart, seven kilometers from Polo Bongachapoli. The seven passengers on the boat were all milk deliverers and vegetable sellers who were supposed to sell their goods at the Bali Jungart Sunday market.
