Suicide by HSLC candidate in Hahinigaon village near Tangla town
TANGLA: A 16-year-old HSLC candidate allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday night in the village of Hahinigaon near the town of Tangla in the Udalgri district.
Students did not pass the exam when the results of the High School Dropout Certificate (HSLC) 2022 exam were reportedly declared by SEBA on Tuesday morning. Students are said to have jumped in front of a speed-violating train, despite repeated phone calls from people in the area.
However, the cause of the extreme steps is not yet clear, whether or not she ended her life due to test results or other reasons. “We recovered the girl’s body and sent her posthumous body to Udalgri Municipal Hospital,” said a Tangla GRP official. Properly, the victims were promising dancers and models, attending many fashion shows.
The last rites of the students took place on Wednesday in their home village. After a tragic incident, a dark club came down to the area. The Tangla Media Circle condolences to the bereaved family.
