Stone mining protest: A family of dead Rajasthani seers to get Rs 5 lakh aid

Ashok Gehlot, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan announced Saturday a Rs 5 Lakh financial support to Vijay Das’s loved ones. Das was killed in an attack on his family demanding that mining be stopped in Deeg district of Rajasthan’s Bharatpur.

He ordered that the matter be examined by a senior administrator.

“The death of Sant Shri Vijay Baba has been very disappointing. He was saved by us and we provided better medical services Mr Gehlot, which we tweeted.

He also stated, “It’s sad that he took this regrettable step after the government had consented in principle to the demands from the seers.”

The chief minister said that the incident will be investigated by an officer of the rank of principal secretary to the government. Vijay Baba’s family will receive assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in the amount of Rs 5. lakh.
