Sonia Gandhi sends senior Congress leader to Goa in the midst of party crisis

Sonia Gandhi (Congress president) asked Mukul Wasnik senior member of his party to rush to Goa for “the most recent political developments” within the country.

Congress accuses Michael Lobo, former chief minister Digambar kamat, and of “conspiring” with the ruling BJP and of helping to instigate a split within its legislative wing.

AICC general Secretary Organization, KC Venugopal tweeted late at night, saying, “Congress President requested Shri @MukulWasnik MP to rush Goa to monitor the most recent political developments in state.”

Also, Mr Lobo was removed from his position as Leader of Opposition at the state Assembly. The Assembly has 40 members. 

Dinesh Gundu Rao, the Goa desk chief of the party, made the announcement that the lawmakers were incommunicado. He also announced the dismissal of Mr Lobo. This was just before the session began.
