Small tea grower Lucuma Moran dies in Dibrugarh

DOOMDOOMA: On Tuesday morning, Lucuma Moran of Rupaisiding, a major producer of small tea and a resident of Tapovan, died in a private nursing home in Dibrugarh. He is 71 years old and has a surviving wife, two sons and one daughter.

The son of Gana Kanta Moran in the nearby village of Daria Beti was able to establish himself as a successful entrepreneur thanks to his earnest efforts. He was the former president of the All Assam Small Tea Producers Association (AASTGA), the Duma Douma Regional Committee, and a member of the Lions Clubs of the Doom Duma Tea City.

Moran was a popular figure and was closely associated with many socio-cultural organizations. His premature death cast darkness on the region and many organizations. This includes All Assam Small Tea Growers’Association, Doomdooma Regional Committee, Lions Club of Doomdooma Tea City, Doomdooma Sakha Lekhika Samaroh Samity, Ramdhenu Mahila Chora, Doomdooma and Doomdooma Sakha Xahitya. Zaba mourned his death. His last ritual took place in front of many worshipers in his hometown of Daria Beti.
