Tinsukia: Helendra Nas Voltacourt, winner of the Sahitia Academia Award for Children’s Literature, came back to life at Makum’s mansion on Friday night. He was 80 years old and suffered from long-term terminal illness.
Five books on children’s literature in Voltacourt, the author of several books, were recently published at his home. Borthakur, a progressive thinker, retired from Senairam HS School in 2001. He left two sons and two daughters, and his wife lost him.
