Yashwant Singh, the Presidential Candidat of Opposition Party’s, accused Bharatiya Janata Party’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) in horse trading. The party sought an inquiry into this accusation.

Sinha, after speaking to journalists, stated that he read the headline “BJP Eyeing 26 Tribal MLAs for Congress,” which was published by a Madhya Pradesh newspaper. It said: “BJP Eyeing 26 Tribal MLAs for Congress, Cross Voting Preparation”. He claimed that he had heard credible reports that non-BJP MLAs were being offered huge amounts of money to help them vote for their candidate in the presidential election.
