Red Horns Division of Gajraj Corps organized a blood donation camp

Tezpur: World Blood Donor Day will be held around the world on June 14th. To prepare for this event, the Red Horn Division of the Gajuraji Corps held a blood donation camp at the Umroy Military Base in Meghalaya on June 9, in collaboration with Northeast Indira. Gandhi Institute for Community Health Sciences-NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.

Dr. Lutika Napran, NEIGRIHMS support staff, and Indian Army doctors conducted the camp. Before the camp, a drive of motivation and sensitization with talks and pamphlets was organized. A total of 100 units of blood were donated by 100 military personnel and dependents of the Amroy military base. The camp was started by the stationmaster. The units provided to NEIGRIHMS will help address blood shortages during various life-saving surgeries and complement existing civil administration efforts in healthcare.
