Rebel leader Eknath Shinde meets MLA in Guwahati, Assam: Report

Rebel Shiv Sena leader Enato Sinde today convened a meeting at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Guwahati to discuss further strategies, ANI sources said.

The political crisis of the Maharashtra’s Mahabicas Agadi (MVA) government broke out after party lawmakers joined a rebellion led by Eknath Shinde, who is staying at a hotel in Guwahati. The rebel MLA at the same hotel allowed Cinde to decide on further course of action.

Cinde has been campaigning at the Radisson Blu Hotel since June 22nd, with 38 party MLAs and 9 independent MLAs.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Prime Minister Uddhav Thacke also convened a meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee at 1:00 pm on Saturday.

The meeting will be held in Shiv Sena Bavan, where the Prime Minister effectively participates.

Earlier on Friday, Mr. Thackeray effectively convened a meeting of district chiefs, where he said the rebel MLA camping in Guwahati “wants to defeat the party.”
