"Our Hearts Are With People Of Japan": Quad Mourns Death Of Shinzo Abe
On Friday, the White House stated that the Quad leaders expressed their shock at the assassination on Shinzo Abe’s former Japanese prime minister.
The leaders of Australia, India and the United States are horrified at the murder of Shinzo Abe (ex-Japan Prime Minister). “Prime Minister Abe was an important leader for Japan, and Japan relations with each of our nations,” it said.
The White House claims that Abe was a key figure in the formation of the Quad partnership. He worked tirelessly for the advancement of a common vision for an Indo-Pacific free from all forms and closed to all kinds.
Our hearts are with Japan’s people and Prime Minister Kishida in their time of sorrow. “We will pay tribute to Prime Minister Abe by intensifying our efforts for a peaceful and prosperous area,” read the statement.
Abe (67) was shot dead during his campaign speech in Nara, western Japan, on Friday. Tetsuya Yogami, 41 year-old Nara City resident was taken into police custody.
