One person is missing after a boat berths on the Brahmaputra River

MANGALDAI: Glazer went missing after the boat was captured on the Brahmaputra River, but the other two managed to survive. This tragic incident was reported at Lenga Kuruwa under the Sipajhar police station around 7:30 pm on June 25. The missing meadow was identified as Toufik Ali (42) in the village of Bahgorha near Dumunichowki under the Sipajhar police station.

According to the information, Toufik Ali, along with two other herders, Kalyan Deka in Kuwarigaon village and Koila Ali in Suktaguri village, returned by country boat after moving the domestic buffalo to a safer place. Suddenly, however, the country boat was caught in the whirlpools of the Brahmaputra River near the RCC bridge on the Brick Kurwa embankment, and the boat was immediately detained.

Kalyan Deka and Koila Ali were able to escape unharmed, but the turbulence carried away Toufik Ali. People in the area immediately started the search operation with the help of SDRF personnel, but could not find Toufik Ali.
