Nitish Kumar To Skip Third BJP Event In 10 Days – Droupadi Murmu's Oath

Bihar Chief minister Nitish Kumar has been repeatedly rejected by the BJP. This is a strong message for the central leadership of the party. Many functions were invited by the party top brass have been skipped by the Chief Minister. Next on the “ignore” list is tomorrow’s Droupadi-Murmu oath. According to party sources, the Chief Minister won’t be present at the function in Delhi because he is involved with the meeting about the Central welfare scheme MNREGA.

He had missed a meeting of Chief ministers, called by Amit Shah (Union Home Minister), on July 17th and deputed an agent. Tarkishorprasad from the BJP attended the meet, which was to address issues related to national flag.

He skipped the dinner hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday. He recited the swearing in ceremony for seven members of the new legislative council, which was completed by 4:00 pm.

The BJP’s omission to invite Modi to the address of the Prime Minister at the Bihar Legislative Assembly’s Centenary Celebrations seems to have been the provocation. Vijay Kumar Sinha (Speaker) convinced PM Modi that he would attend. Sinha had fought with the Chief Minister numerous times during his tenure as Speaker, which led to an angry outburst. It was the first occasion that a Prime Minister spoke to the Bihar legislative assembly.

He did not mention five-time Chief minister of the state at the conclusion ceremony. He was not included in the souvenir.
