NIRF 2022 Ranking – NIPER Guwahati climbs six positions from last years to secure 13th position

Guwahati: National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Guwahati, which was announced Friday by Dharmendra Pradhan (union education minister) as 13th in Pharmacy Category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2022 has achieved this position.

From last year’s 19th spot, the premier pharmaceutical institution has shown remarkable progress while jumping six spots this year, said a statement.

Dibrugarh University (47th) is the only other institution in the ‘Pharmacy’ category from North-East included in the ranking.  

USN Murty (Director, NIPER Guwahati) congratulated students and faculty at the institute. Dr. Murty congratulated all those involved for their dedication which led to an improvement in the rank of the institute.

He said, “The efforts of faculty, staff and students at NIPER Guwahati have been inspirational over the years. It has been possible to overcome many obstacles and keep the progress graph in terms Teaching, Learning and Resource, Research and Professional Practice and Graduation Outcomes. We also have Outreach and Inclusion and Peer Perception. I am sure we will be able to launch from here and gain a rank in the top ten next year”.

NIPER Guwahati is one of the other Northeast Indian institutes that were included in the NIRF 20022 top 100.

From the North-East, IIT Guwahati secured the 7th position in ‘Engineering’ and 8th in the ‘Overall category’ while NIT Silchar secured 38th rank in ‘the engineering’ category.

Gauhati University and Tezpur University are also included among the top 100.
