GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, on Monday, claimed that a number of madrassas within the state are being utilized by some parts as hub for terrorism.

On Monday, a madrassa in Barpeta district of Assam that had alleged hyperlinks with jihadi parts like was demolished by the administration.

“That is the second madrassa we now have demolished in Assam as these establishments have been getting used as a hub for terrorism,” mentioned Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
